The Next Generation of Problem Solvers: Engineering the Future at Mikrobot Academy

At Mikrobot Academy, we aren’t just building robots; we are cultivating the minds that will solve the challenges of tomorrow. Through prestigious platforms like the ROBOFEST Exhibition and the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Future Innovators categories, our students are stepping into the role of global change-makers.
This year marks a significant "first" for our community. We are thrilled to announce that Mikrobot Academy will present a Junior Team for the Exhibition challenge at the ROBOFEST World Championship in Michigan, USA. The Exhibition category (much like the WRO Future Innovators track) is a rigorous test of creativity and engineering. It challenges teams to identify real-world issues and build functional models or simulations that offer tangible solutions. The Academy will also present teams for (not the first for these) BottleSumo, RoboParade, Game and Unknown Mission Challenge.
Success in STEM requires more than technical skill; it requires a structured approach to innovation. Under the guidance of our dedicated coaches and mentors, our teams employ Design Thinking principles, the same problem-solving framework used by global giants like “The Big Five” in Tech (Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Apple, Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft).
By adopting this professional-grade methodology, our students are introduced to and equipped with the five core pillars of innovation: Empathy: Designing with the end-user’s needs and feelings at the forefront. Definition: Clearly articulating the problem they aim to solve. Ideation: Brainstorming limitless possibilities before narrowing down the most effective path. Prototyping: Bringing ideas to life through iterative(repetitive) physical models. Testing: Using a feedback loop to refine and perfect their solutions.
The ultimate goal of our competition season is far greater than bringing home trophies. We are equipping each student with a permanent toolkit for success. By the time our teams hit the world stage, they have evolved into the Next-Gen of Problem Solvers. They leave the Academy not just as tech-savvy students, but as empathetic designers and engineers capable of creating solutions that truly benefit society.
