Mikrobot Academy proudly represented Ghana at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) International Final 2025 in Singapore, where young talents from the academy showcased innovative robotics solutions on a global stage, gaining invaluable experience and inspiring the next generation of Ghanaian innovators.
Team Ghana, featuring talented students from Mikrobot Academy, has returned from the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) International Final 2025 in Singapore with valuable lessons, unforgettable memories, and a stronger commitment to advancing robotics education in the country.
The prestigious event, held from November 26-28, 2025, at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands, brought together a record-breaking number of participants from over 90 countries. This year's theme, “The Future of Robots”, encouraged young innovators to explore how robotics can address global challenges and enhance everyday lives.
In the Future Innovators category, Ghanaian participants highlighted solutions inspired by local needs. Notably, the junior high team demonstrated an innovative aquaponics project, using robotics to automate water and nutrient distribution for sustainable plant growth—showcasing how technology can revolutionize agriculture in Ghana and beyond.
Other categories like RoboMission and Future Engineers featured intense challenges, including "surprise rules" announced on competition day, testing teams' ability to adapt, redesign, and reprogram robots under pressure.
Although the competition was fierce with thousands of young robotics enthusiasts participating, Mikrobot Academy's representatives stood strong, gaining global exposure and building networks that will shape Ghana's growing STEM ecosystem.
This achievement underscores Mikrobot Academy's dedication to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills among Ghanaian youth. We are immensely proud of our students and look forward to building on this experience for future international successes!
